Becoming a member of a TL&L sporting group makes perfect sense.
TL&L sponsor a number of sporting groups. We currently have groups participating in golf, lawn bowls, pistol shooting, billiards/snooker, rifle shooting, ten pin bowling, indoor cricket, outdoor cricket, & darts.
For our sporting groups, who proudly compete under the traditional NSW Railway Institute banner, competition sport has never been so much fun. Coming up against teams from around NSW, interstate teams and, even New Zealand, the competition is strong with everyone looking to do their Institute proud.
We know that playing in a team is all about working together, meeting new people, improving yourself, your fitness, travelling, and enjoying the great transport family camaraderie.
However, it goes without saying that all of this is helped by winning a game or two! Let’s be honest, while many of us have a transport background, when it comes down to it we have the reputation of the NSW Railway Institute to defend and honour!

There are a number of sports groups that operate as Sub-Branches of Transport Life & Leisure. To join a sports group, you must first be a financial member of TL&L, and pay any fees associated with each sports group.
The sports groups participate in both local and national (inter-state) competitions. Each Sub-Branch operates autonomously with their own by-laws and rules and the constitution of Transport Life & Leisure. To participate in major competitions members must first qualify in accordance with the rules set out by each sports group.
